Teaching Positions

2026–2027 Academic Year

Nanjing Elite Light International School is now accepting early applications for the 2026–2027 school year across all subject areas. Selected candidates may be invited for an initial screening interview.

Position Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area; valid teaching certification; advanced degree or specialization training (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of successful teaching experience; experience with diverse populations, ELL students, and international school settings (preferred); familiarity with UbD strategies (preferred).
  • Skills: Strong pedagogical knowledge; effective communication; proficiency in educational technology; organizational and time management skills.

Teacher Expectations

  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Engage parents and students in meaningful discussions about growth and achievement.
  • Contribute to the school community and support whole-child development.
  • Participate in ECAs, student clubs, and service projects.
  • Integrate curriculum with NLEIS’s learning outcomes:

Instructional Responsibilities

  • Deliver and complete standards-based curriculum.
  • Use approved teaching strategies and resources.
  • Collaborate on curriculum refinement.
  • Set and pursue professional growth goals.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the vision that “All teachers are language teachers.”
  • Collaborate with subject teachers and ELL specialists.
  • Provide in-class language support and differentiated instruction.
  • Support English learning for community members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
